Near our vineyards is the ancient Roman winery of Funes, the biggest industry of this kind in Rioja and Navarra in the Roman times. Back then, wine was key in the diet of the Roman colonies in Hispania. Furthermore, the quality of the wines from this region was much appreciated in Rome and the exports of wine used the wide river Ebro (\u00cdber) to reach the Mediterranean.<\/p>\n
The original remains of clay vessels or \u2018dolium\u2019 found in the Roman winery of Funes had inspired the rounded forms and the solid profile of our Voch\u00e9 bottle, honouring those famous quality vineyards rooted within the origins of wine in Spain.<\/p>\n
